Curnow Tizard was established in 1987 by Geoff Tizard and Phillip Curnow, in partnership, with a commitment to quality property advice.  In 1997 the partnership was changed to a private limited liability company.  The firm has eight field staff in both the rural and urban fields covering valuation, consultancy, property management, arbitration and research.

The field staff are supported by two administration officers and a networked computerised office environment. 

The staff at Curnow Tizard Limited undertake valuation and other property related assignments beyond the Waikato region and generally regard the North Island as the main sphere of activity.  However, specialist consultancy in the South Island and Pacific Islands is not uncommon.

Our personnel have valued or managed large property portfolios for Local Government and SOEs and are familiar with such matters as Health and Safety, The Building Act and a variety of other legislative requirements. We are audited by our clients for Health and Safety procedures.

During 1998 Curnow Tizard Limited, along with three staff members, became Accredited Suppliers to Land Information New Zealand.  This was a major expansion into a new but property related field that requires meticulous research into statutory documentation and other legislative property requirements.

Members of the Company are involved in various property related organisations including the NZ Institute of Valuers, and Property Institute of New Zealand. Both Directors are members of the Arbitrators’ and Mediators’ Institute of NZ Inc.

Curnow Tizard Limited operates from owner/occupied office premises situated towards the northern periphery of the Central Business District of Hamilton City.  The Directors are committed to independent and unbiased property valuation and consultancy based on analysis and experience.
